As I was looking through all the many pictures with Gus, I’m reminded how far we’ve come in six years and all the great adventures we’ve had!

Even with time to prepare for this and wanting to see him achieve all his dreams, it’s a tough thing to absorb! After six years it’s his time to move on!

We will all miss him daily at the HQ! He knew me well and from the first time we met he gave all he could to helping me, both with Cut Beef and my family! My kids have grown up with him and he’s been one of their biggest fans! He is our family!

As we prepare to say goodbye to Gus from our everyday lives, join me in wishing him the very best in Houston! He’s promised to come back for events and to not be a stranger, which helps, but still that daily dose of Gus will be hugely missed!

Today is his last official shift at the HQ! He’ll be there till 2:00 if you want to pop by or give him a call and let him know that his time at Cut Beef was time well spent and that he’ll be truly missed!

Our processor is still without power at this time so our current unsold inventory at the HQ is all we can guarantee for immediate pick up now.

Many of you know we Cut Beef each Wednesday morning, that most certainly will be pushed back at least a day as we wait for the power to return at our processors. Whether it’s cattle, horses or outdoor pets make sure and prep them for bad weather. And don’t forget to check on your elderly neighbors too, even if they act like it annoys them that you do!

This great group of men gathered last night to raise nearly $2500 for Blue Santa whilst celebrating the season!

Each busy in their own right yet time after time this group puts their heads down, rolls up theirs sleeves without complaining or asking what’s in it for me to help make this community better for all!

Thankful to be a Strutter and looking forward to all the great things this group will do in 2026!
